There  has  been  a  growing  concern  by  employers  regarding the validity of education verifications due to the fact that many higher educational institutions listed by applicants        on  employment  applications  are  not  accredited  by  the  United States  Department of Education.    Many of these non-accredited entities do not have valid contact information,     may not have a physical address if they offer online courses, or are just fraudulent. 

In these instances, results normally indicate that the requested information was not able        to be verified due to various reasons associated with the above examples.

Because the frequency of these instances  continues  to  grow,  DDS  has  developed an expanded  Education  Verification  service.      This   new  service  will also  verify  that  the educational entity is accredited by the US Department of Education. 

The  advantage  of  knowing  that  the  candidate  has  a  valid  degree from an accredited school can be invaluable when making a hiring or promotion decision.
